Father Oscar hosts the church in Wickport. He is also friend of Adam Wright and was probably present during the experiment on or with Hugo Ashdown. Wakefield discovered this while hypnotizing Wright. The church of Father Oscar is no longer attended by the villagers. This is because they have lost hope, which is caused to a large extent by Wright's experiments. Oscar seemed to lose his purpose as well. He is often seen walking aimlessly around the town centre.
In the past, Oscar and Wright frequently had scholarly discussions. Adam took an anthropological point of view while Oscar argued as a theologian.
Oscar wants Wakefield to deliver a letter to Wright. Wright never received the letter, because he died before Wakefield was able to deliver it.
